By accessing or using the TrueID Portal, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service Description
TrueID Portal provides Ghana Card and passport verification using MRZ extraction and optional selfie capture to support KYC workflows.
3. Consent & Lawful Use
You must obtain explicit consent from individuals before collecting and processing their identity data. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
4. Data Collected
We may collect MRZ data, document metadata (document type, number, expiry date, nationality, and gender), optional card PIN (where applicable), and selfie images when enabled. We also collect usage logs for security and audit purposes.
5. Data Processing & Retention
Data is processed to perform identity verification, quality checks, and audit logging. Retention periods depend on your organization’s settings and applicable regulations. You are responsible for defining and enforcing retention requirements.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect data in transit and at rest. You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys, user access, and internal systems.
7. User Rights
Individuals may have rights to access, correct, or delete their data as required by law. You agree to honor such requests in accordance with your legal obligations.
8. Disclaimer
Verification results are provided “as is” and should be used as part of a broader due diligence process. We do not guarantee accuracy for damaged or poor-quality documents.
